W'apow mu e,

This morning, I woke up and their was a toe headed boy sitting on my chest.  He said, "Dad, is today a holiday?"  I said, "No, why?"  He said, "It is already light outside and you aren't up yet."  My alarm did not go off!  I jumped out of bed and realized that if I hustled we could still get to school on time.  I made breakfast and gave orders for the packing of the lunches while I was making breakfast.  I sure am glad I made lunches last night and had them in the fridge ready to pack.  We ate breakfast and got dressed and we were out the door 4 minutes early! I told Gilbert that he saved the day and that just made his day!  Today was the last day of school until mom gets back.

I bought a new internet router last month from a cell phone company.  It worked great for a couple of days and then, nothing.  It works great at the church, but nothing at the house.  I called the service number and they said that there was a problem with the network in our area and that after the rainy season it should start working again.  I made some complaints at the office but no one would ever call me back.  Last week I made some louder complaints and got a promise that they would check it out and call me back.  Well, they did not check anything out and they did not call me back.  Today I went in with the router and I got the attention of the entire office.  I said that all I wanted was my money back and they could have their router which works just fine.  They said that would not be possible.  I said that my lawyer said that it is more than possible and that he would be happy to pay a visit with the names of all of the people I had spoken to about this problem.  For some reason that had more of an effect than I expected!  Within a few minutes I had spoken to the manager who has had the day off every other time I have been to the office and I had been told that it was his day off today as well.  He told me that I should have some money early next week.  I told him that all of the money had better be there or I would refer all other communications to my lawyer.  I showed him a business card for a lawyer that I know and I think the guy got a little worried because I have had several phone calls from the cell phone company this evening telling me that they are working on my problem.  I told them that I no longer have a problem but they do!
In the middle of that, the school called to tell me that Bonnie was sick.  I rushed to school to check on her.  I think that mostly she is just sick of mom being gone!  She was fine after I got her home.
We are counting down the hours until mom gets home now!  Snacks are packed!  Backpacks are packed (filled mostly with toys) and ready to load in the car!  Every plane that flies over must be the one that mom is on!
