This morning, for some reason, I was thinking church started at 10:00 instead fo 9:00. I started reading my Bible as usual, when I heard Mrs. Angie say, “Should we make sure Gilbert is awake?” When I heard her say that, I texted Bro. Ruckman that I was awake, but I was reading my Bible. He then responded that breakfast was ready, and that they were ready to go. I immediately texted him, “Does church start at 10:00 A.M.?” He quickly responded, “No, it starts at 9:00 A.M.” I jumped up, got dressed quickly, and ran downstairs for breakfast. Thankfully, I still had a few minutes to eat. After I ate, we left. It is a wonder I did not forget anything at the house. ๐
We had a great morning service. Bro. Ruckman spoke on the Trinity. After the service, we had eight baptisms. I was able to get the whole thing on video with my drone. My drone does not record audio, but I did have someone recording on the ground. I spent a lot of time editing the video to get the audio and video to match up. The video turned out really nice.
After we had finished at the church, we took a few people home; then, we went home. Mrs. Angie had lunch ready in the crockpot; so we were ate as soon as we got home. After lunch, I worked on my computer for a few minutes, then studied for my sermon later this evening. After I had studied, I took a nap.
I woke up with plenty of time to get ready for church. We left the house a little after 4:30 P.M. Bro. Ruckman had an idea for a singing group in the church, and the practice went extremely well. After we had practiced for a while, it was time for the services to start. We sang several songs; then, I preached a twenty-five-minute sermon through a translator. After I had preached, we sang one more song; then, Bro. Ray Davis preached a short message. God has an amazing way of working. He was able to tie mine and Bro. Davis’s messages together; it is amazing to see God work.
After the service, we fellowshipped around the church for a while; then, we met Bro. Davis and a few other people at KFC. We had a great time of fellowship, and we also got to enjoy some fried chicken and soft-serve ice cream.
Once we had finished eating, we went home. On the way home, I was able to talk to my parents who were on their way to church. We were able to have a good talk. We are now home. I have been working on the baptism video. I have not finished working on it, or else I would have made it into a YouTube video and added it to the blog. It is currently 11:26 P.M.; so, I need to hurry up and get to bed. I had too much fun working on the baptism video, and apparently, I lost track of time.
I am feeling much better. I still have a runny nose and some congestion, but overall, I am feeling much better. Thank you all for the prayers. Good Night!!! ๐
