Sick Day

This morning, I got to sleep in because we did not have any plans for the day. When I woke up, my throat and ears hurt. I figured I must have had some drainage in the night, which I most likely did. I was able to read my Bible, get ready, then make some toast for breakfast.

I took some medicine, but it did not really do much, as far as I can tell. I rested in my room most of the day. Bro. Ruckman and I did run a few errands around 12:30 P.M., but we were not out long.

When we got home, I had some leftovers for lunch, then went back up to my room. I did some things in my room because I did not feel like sleeping. I left my room at 4:30 P.M. to sit outside for a while. I was able to fly my drone for a little while, but there was nothing really special about the flight.

Mrs. Angie prepared spaghetti, which was very good. I was able to eat the spaghetti and drank one of my Dr. Peppers. I thought something fizzy might help my throat, and it did, but not for long. After we finished supper, I came up to my room.

I am now typing the blog, then going to take a nice cool shower. Hopefully that helps. I was able to get my room vacuumed and my bathroom cleaned. I thought that might help with my cold if it was allergy related, but I do not think it is. It is currently 6:28 P.M. It is really early, but I may go to bed early and turn my ac on.

Bro. Ruckman and Mrs. Angie are flying to Accra in the morning. Mrs. Angie needs to have a minor procedure to remove a mole that is growing on her neck. Please pray that all goes well and that they will be able to get home as soon as possible. They do not know exactly when they will get back, but they are hoping to be back by Wednesday. Until they get back, I will be left to cook for myself. 🙂 Mrs. Angie has told me what I can do; so, I think I will make it just fine. The man who guards the house at night will be staying on property 24/7; so, I think I will be fine staying at the house alone. 🙂

  1. Sorry to hear you don’t feel well! Hopefully it I’ll only be 24 hours! Drink plenty of water and up your Vit C. Our weather has turned cool. Hopefully we will all stay healthy with this change. Your Dad has worked very hard on the chicken tractor. He is moving goats and sheep around. It is fun watching what he comes up with next. We are praying for you and love you!

  2. Gilbert, sorry to read that you’re not feeling well. Drink lots of fluid. You might have a backup plan to see a doctor if you get to feeling worse.
