Another Great Sunday in Ghana

This morning, I woke up at 7:20, read my Bible, and got ready for the day. I went down to see if any was up, but I did not see anyone. There was oatmeal and toast, still hot; so I knew someone had been up. I ate the toast and oatmeal and went back up to my room to get my stuff for the day. We left for church at 8:30 A.M.

Sound System

When we got to church, we got the sound system and stuff going. The service started at 9:00 A.M. I am in charge of the sound system; so, I was fiddling with everything during the song service. It was not perfect, but I got it working. We had a great morning service, and we had one baptized after the service.

After the morning service, I took a taxi home with Ransford, the neighbor boy. Bro. and Mrs. Ruckman went to visit a lady from the church, who was in the hospital. She is pregnant, and I guess she is having some problems; she was released from the hospital this evening. When I got home, I changed into some dry clothes because my clothes from the service were soaked with sweat.

Bro. and Mrs. Ruckman got home after about fifteen minutes. When they got home, Mrs. Angie made tuna, rice, and peas. Everything was sooo good. I love the pan seared tuna; it tastes amazing. The peas were also very good. After lunch, I went up to my room and rested for quite awhile. I guess I was tired. 🙂

Evening Service

After a much needed nap, I quickly got ready for church. We left for the evening service at 5:30 P.M. When we got to the church, we did a few things to rearrange the sound system. Everything is in a much better setup now.

We had two men who wanted to join the church; so before Bro. Ruckman preached, he had both men stand at the pulpit and give their testimony. By the way their testimonies sounded, we do not think they are saved. Bro. Ruckman and some of the men are going to question them further and try to help them see how they can truly be saved. PLEASE PRAY that these two men and others would be saved.

After the service, we spent some time taking down the auditorium decorations. We are preparing the church so the wedding decorators will just have to worry about the decorating. Tomorrow, some of the men will be painting some spots in the auditorium. When we had finished at the church, we headed home.

When we got home, Mrs. Angie prepared homemade pizza. The meal was delicious. I am now in my room preparing to take a shower and wind down for the day. Then, it will be off to sleep. We are going to be preparing for the wedding for the next week. Please pray that everything goes well and that the wedding is Christ-honoring and special for the couple.
