Dear Pastors and Friends,

As we mentioned last month, this month we have the great pleasure of introducing you to your newest missionary!  Bonnie Lorraine Consford was born June 12 at 8:47 AM.  She weighed 7 lbs 15 oz. and was 19 ½ inches long.

Two hours after Bonnie’s birth, she went into respiratory distress.  She was placed under an oxygen tent in an incubator.  When she did not respond to that treatment, they put an IV into her umbilical cord and started giving her antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medicine intravenously.  We called our parents; within hours, people were praying all over the world.  After 4 ½ days in the incubator, she was doing                            fine.  They kept Laura and the baby in the hospital for an additional 24 hours after Bonnie came out of the incubator.  Praise the Lord, mom and baby are doing great!

The doctors said that they do not know exactly what happened.  Bonnie had an infection due to excess fluid on the lungs.  They were surprised that she turned around so quickly.  We want to thank all of those who were praying for us during that time.  We know that Bonnie is with us today as a direct result of the prayers of so many people.

My mother, Ginger Consford, was able to come visit us for 2 ½ weeks.  It was a blessing to have her here for the birth of our third child and first daughter!  She was such an encouragement to us during the difficulties we had.

June 18-21, I was able to take part in an evangelistic campaign in the village of IRFA.  My home church in Center, Texas, gave us a sound system that we sent in a container.  This was the first time we had had the opportunity to use it.  Each night, we showed an evangelistic film and preached.  Praise the Lord, there were eight precious souls saved!

We are working on scheduling our furlough.  We thank those that have contacted us already!  We plan to leave for furlough in May of 2009 and return the following May.  If you would like for us to be at your church to report on our labors that we are doing together with you, please contact us by e-mail (consford@gmail.com) with the dates you would like for us to be in your church.  If you do not have e-mail, you can reach us via our computer at (936) 755-4888 or via our sending church at (936) 598-3642.
