Bonjour,

We spent the day at home today. Danny was awake most of the day. Gilbert went down for an early nap.

The boys and I went for a walk with Margie, Sarah, and the girls. Gilbert has started looking forward to the daily walk. When the doorbell rings, he says, “Ding dong, Walk!” Gilbert ran almost the whole way today. Allison had to keep running ahead of us to bring Gilbert and Joanna back toward us.

Gilbert knows what to do if a car comes. We stopped at a little store on the way so that Sarah could buy something. Gilbert got right on the edge of the grass, spread his arms out, and said, “Watch out! Car coming!” There wasn’t really a car coming, but it was good practice for one that did come in a few minutes. It is all dirt roads in the neighborhood; they are a bit muddy with all of the rain. So, the cars don’t move very fast!

After supper, Gilbert was outside with Joe. Joe was out back checking on his trees. Gilbert found the bucket that Joe had used to change the oil. Joe had emptied the bucket, but the bucket was still a bit oily. Gilbert had oil from head to toe.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, and Danny
