Bonjour!
Joe and Dad left at 6:00 this morning for Ghana. Joe called around 11:00 and said that they were broken down in Aboisso, Ivory Coast, about an hour from the border. The vehicle was overheating. A fan had quit working. A pastor there helped them find a mechanic. He was able to make the part that they needed. They arrived in Takoradi around 16:00. They plan to come back here tomorrow. I’m sure that Dad will type an e-mail about their trip when he returns.
Mom and I had a good day here at home. We had Sarah Litson and her girls over this afternoon. Allison likes horses. Dad brought “My Friend Flicka” for Gilbert. So, we all watched that together. Then, we all had popsicles. Just as they got ready to walk back across the street to their house, it started raining hard. They waited a few minutes until it let up a little.

The power has been going off and on this evening like it did last night. We hope it is on to stay now. We have the flashlight handy just in case.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, and Danny
