Bonjour,
Bonnie is feeling a little better today. We will probably keep her home again tomorrow; then, she will be ready to go back to school on Monday.
I made more curtains this morning. I finished the curtains for the master bedroom today.
Joe was up at the other house most of the day. One of the two guys who has been painting said that today would be the last day that he could help. Joe found another guy that can help tomorrow. The painting may carry over to Monday, but we should still be able to move in some time next week.
Joe took Bonnie and I up to the other house for a minute after lunch so that we could see the progress. They are working on the trim now. They painted one wall in the living room hunter green, which is the color of the trim throughout the house. Bonnie did not approve of the green wall; I thought it looked nice.
This afternoon, I got the cupcakes made for Gilbert's class. I frosted them after supper. I let the kids sample one. Gilbert was talking to Danny. He said, "Do you know why I chose a chocolate cupcake with blue frosting and sprinkles?" Danny said, "No." Gilbert said, "Well, it's the night sky with stars in it!"
Bonnie was "teaching" her imaginary students today. I heard her say, "Praise the Lord for 'o in go.'" She isn't learning the special sounds yet, but she has heard the boys practicing them. She was speaking in her Ghanaian voice. I have heard her say "Praise the Lord" before when she is pretending to teach; her teacher must say that a lot.
The kids went to bed about 8:30. About 9:00, their bedroom door wasn't quite closed all the way. Bonnie's nightgown was sticking out the door; she was standing there waiting to be noticed, I guess. Then, at 9:30, she came out fully dressed in clothes instead of her nightgown. We took some new clothes out of storage today. I guess she is trying to wear them all in one day. She took a long nap this afternoon; she must not be tired yet. The boys are both asleep.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
