Bonjour,
This morning, Joe went up to the church for prayer meeting, soul winning instruction, and soul winning. Then, he went to get some copies made for tomorrow. He picked up Lebanese cheese pizza for lunch. When we eat it at the restaurant, it is open-faced like a pizza. When they pack it up to send it home, they fold it over. When it is folded over, that really bothers Danny for some reason.
The kids played for a while. Then, they worked on homework. Danny had four pages for the weekend instead of his normal two pages. Gilbert and I were the cheering section to help Danny get finished.
It was raining this afternoon. We weren't sure if anyone would come for Bible Club. But, we had nineteen come. The rain let up right around Bible Club time.
After supper, we played a game of Cadoo. Danny and Joe were partners. Danny thought that they would surely win. He was not too happy that Gilbert won. It is supposed to be the first team to get four in a row who wins; but if no one gets four in a row, then you count to see who has the most men on the board. Danny and Joe got blocked from winning twice. So, we had to count up the men. Gilbert won by one man.
We had a bit of a scare this evening. The kids were in bed, and Joe and I were sitting in the living room. We heard someone banging on the gate; the gate was locked. Joe went out to see who it was. It was a group of about twenty soldiers. They said that they were patrolling the neighborhood, but it shook us up a little. With some of the problems we have been having at church, Joe thought that they were here to get him. Joe called one of the guys to see if that was normal. He said that they do patrol different neighborhoods at night from time to time.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
