Bonjour,

Everyone was up bright and early this morning. We started school at
7:30 and finished before 10:00.

I was out on the porch hanging a load of laundry. Bonnie said, "Mom, I
see a wasp's nest." I looked, and it was a spider web. I told her what
it was. She said, "Oh, it's a spider bed."

The whole family went to town. We ran some errands and then went to
Planter's Lodge for lunch. While the kids and I were waiting in the car
at one place, Gilbert said, "Body, I know that you're hot; you can quit
sweating now." I explained that God made us so that we would sweat to
cool our bodies off. Joe told him that dogs don't sweat and that is why
they pant. Gilbert decided to try being a dog then. He was sitting in
the backseat panting. He demonstrated how a very hot dog would pant and
how one that wasn't so hot would pant.

When we were eating lunch, two white men came into the restaurant.
Gilbert and Danny wanted to know why there were other white people in
Africa. The restaurant where we ate is at a hotel. When the lady was
clearing our table off, Bonnie thought that it was the end of the world
when the lady took her napkin. One of the white men at the other table
asked her what was wrong and offered her his napkin if she needed it.

We came home for naps. The kids went to play with the Luthers for a
while. Then, they were helping Daddy gather things for the fire pit.
While they were doing that, a man and some little boys walked up. He
was taking his boys to play soccer. He invited Gilbert and Danny to
play too. They took turns kicking the ball. Gilbert said that the man
told him that he was the best kicker.

We got a package from Nana today. When everyone came inside, we looked
at the stuff that was in the package. The kids were excited with their
sunglasses and clothes.

Please pray for the Dennis Liker family, members of our home church.
Their twenty-two-year-old son died in a car wreck on Friday. The
funeral was today.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
