Bonjour,

Happy Thanksgiving! We had a great day.

After breakfast, Joe and the boys went in to Anyama to check the post
office box. We had four package slips. Joe will go back to get those
tomorrow because he didn't have time to wait around for them today. I
got the last couple things finished up while they were gone. Bonnie
took a nap.

Around 10:00, Bob, Margie, and Lenell rode with us to the British Club.
We rented the place for the day. It is out by the lagoon. There is a
sandy area by the water and a nice grassy area as well. The guys played
horseshoes before lunch. We got there early so that Joe could start
heating the oil to fry the turkeys.

We had plenty of food. Everything was delicious. We will be eating
leftovers for awhile! We paid a little extra this time and used their
dishes, glasses, and utensils. That worked great.

Ghana Field Journal — Serving the Lord for Over 25 Years

These daily journal entries document the Consfords’ missionary life across Ivory Coast and Ghana. After lunch, the guys played horseshoes for awhile and then moved on to
football; the ladies played Quiddler, a word game. Then, almost
everyone played volleyball. I held Bonnie and tried to keep Danny out
of the volleyball area.

Gilbert and Danny had a great time playing with the other boys. They
ran their little legs off. Gilbert's legs were really hurting when we
got home this evening. He fell asleep and then woke up crying because
his legs were hurting.

Bonnie had fun getting passed around. Everyone took turns holding her.
She smiled and cooed.

The water was on for a little while after we got home. Joe is going to
get the pump installed tomorrow.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
