W'apow mu e,

No one wanted to get up this morning.  I woke everyone up.  Bonnie was the only one to get up on the first try.  I sent her back to try again while I finished getting breakfast ready.

We were talking to Bonnie about not complaining about things hurting at school unless they really hurt.  She complained of a headache one day and a stomach ache the next day.  When we were talking about this, she reached up and put her hand on her head and said, "I'm just testing to see if I have a headache."

Joe did not sleep well last night.  He fell asleep watching a football game this morning.

I am working on clearing my sewing table so that I can put the keyboard there to practice for our music practice on Saturday.  I had a pile of Joe's pants that needed to be shortened.  I got all of those marked and cut off.  Then, I worked on some curtains.  I had some that just needed to be hung, but I did not have anything to hang them on.  I found some wooden rods in the closet, but they were too short.  So, I cut one of them in pieces and used duct tape to extend the other two rods.  It did not work too well, but the curtains are up for the moment until we can find some better rods.  I sewed another curtain that was in my pile.  I still have a few more projects to complete tomorrow before my table will be cleared.

The kids had a good day at school.  When I ask Bonnie what she learned, the first thing that she always tells me is the songs that she sang that day.  She likes those songs!  I was still sewing when they got home.  So, Bonnie lined up all of my spools on thread on the ground; they were her students.  She was bringing me spools of thread to tell me what they had done wrong.  One of her "students" was in trouble for speaking in Fante.

I made pizza for supper tonight.  Danny and Bonnie helped me with that.

After supper when it was time for homework, we could not find Bonnie's homework.  We were beginning to wonder if she left it at school.  She was crying because she knew she brought it home.  We found it on the floor in the office after we retraced her steps.
