Bonjour,
Gilbert is feeling better today. He didn't know if he was feeling quite well enough to do school. He wanted to go outside. I told him that he if he felt well enough to go outside, then he was well enough to do his school work first. We only have one more day!!!! I thought we'd never get there. : )
The electricians came this morning about 10:00 to work on installing ceiling fans and lights. They were here all day and got almost everything installed. The air conditioner guy didn't come until a little after 4:00, but he got it all installed before we had to leave for church. The kids are so excited about having an air conditioner in their bedroom!! The kids "helped" the guys all day long. They didn't get naps in because there was too much action and nowhere to take a nap in peace. But, we can go a day without naps to have fans and AC!
Joe got back from Accra about 3:00 this afternoon. He got the passport without any trouble and then headed to the bus station for his trip home. He waited until the bus filled up, and they were on their way. A "preacher" accompanied them for the first leg of their journey. The "preacher" gives a devotion of some kind and then usually has some type of cure that he is selling.
We had a good evening at church. There were sixteen in attendance tonight. We are still working on getting more people to attend the evening services.
On Wednesday nights, we have a time for praises and testimonies. April, who is leaving for the States on Monday, gave a testimony about the privilege of being here for the last year. I started crying. Gilbert said, "Mom, why are you crying?" I told him that I was sad that April was leaving. He said, "Well, Mom, you've known about it for three days!" I've known about it a lot longer than that, but it is just now sinking in.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
