Bonjour,
We had a good day at church. It did not rain today. We had more adults for Sunday School today than we have had in months. Lots of children came too. I had 33 children in my six and under junior church. Joe had quite a few people in the auditorium too.
In our class, we have been working on some different verses. When I asked individual children to say Psalm 37:5, Gilbert and Danny both said it. Then, Bonnie said that she could say it. She has tried before but has never said the whole verse by herself. She said the whole thing today. Then, when it was time to quote Ephesians 2:8-9 individually, she said those completely too. Maybe she actually does pay attention, sometimes!
Ghanaians are very religious people. Almost every person in Ghana goes to some kind of church. There are many Charismatics here; many people are very confused about tongues. Joe has been preaching a series of messages about tongues on Sunday mornings. Most people have not heard the truth, and they do not like the truth when they hear it.
In Ghana, when someone graduates from a university, they then have one year of national service to do. They are given a posting to do whatever their area of expertise is. We had a lady named Gifa that began coming to church in February. She is from the Accra area but was in this area teaching at a school for her national service. Danny took to her the first week that she came. He told her that he was born in Ghana; so, he was Ghana Boy, and she was Ghana Girl. The kids always greeted her each week. After the service this morning, we were taking pictures with her because it was her last Sunday. Her national service is over, and she is going back to Accra. After we took pictures, Gilbert came and told me that Danny wsa crying because he did not want Gifa to leave. When Gifa heard that Danny was crying, she asked Gilbert to go get him. She held him, and they both cried together. They made me cry just watching them.

We went home for lunch and naps. Then, we got ready to go back to church again. There were 21 in attendance tonight. Brother Evans preached tonight.
Danny went out to get his Bible. For some reason, he could not get the door open. The window was partially opened. So, he decided to go through the window. When he did not come back right away, Joe went to check on him. He found Danny with his legs hanging out the window. What a boy!
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
