Bonjour,
This morning, Joe, Matt, and Lenell went up to the church to meet with Max to discuss some different things before the Litsons’ departure next week.
While they were gone, I was able to get a doctor’s appointment for Joe for this afternoon. He has been having problems with asthma the last couple weeks. Last night, he didn’t sleep much at all and was having trouble breathing. He got an inhaler a few days ago. That helped at first, but it wasn’t helping too much anymore.
We got a short nap in and then got ready to go to town. Just as we were getting ready to leave, the Litsons came back from town. Sarah offered to keep the boys for us.
The doctor’s office is right next to a mall. So, Lenell and I walked around in there while Joe went for his doctor’s appointment. We had walked the whole place, looked in several stores, and eaten an ice-cream cone. Joe still hadn’t come down. So, we went to see if he was okay. The doctor had taken him to the hospital portion of the complex and put him on a breathing machine for twenty minutes. Joe was beginning to wonder if the doctor was going to admit him.
After Joe was on the breathing machine, he already felt a lot better. The doctor prescribed several different things. Joe will be on cortisone and an antibiotic for three days. He also got a stronger inhaler that lasts for twelve hours. He is supposed to go back to the doctor in a week for a check-up. If it gets worse before then, he is supposed to go back right away.
The new inhaler really helps. Joe has gone on to bed. He is really tired since he didn’t sleep much last night.
Danny’s toe is doing better today.

The word on the container is that it is on a truck and is one of the first in line to go through the scanner tomorrow. So, we may get it tomorrow if all goes well.
