Bonjour,
Joe went to town with Charlie this morning. They checked on the vehicle. The head had not arrived. The mechanic was going to go get it today. Joe talked to the other mechanic who sold us the head. The first time, he said to call back in an hour. The second time, he rejected the call. The third time, he said he was busy and that he would call us. He will be getting more calls tomorrow.
Joe helped Charlie work on his pump. The part that they bought was faulty; so, they took it back and exchanged it for another one. They did get the pump up and working.
We did school this morning. The power went off just as we were getting started. We were just getting resituated to do just pages when the power came back on. So, we used the DVDs much to Gilbert’s chagrin.
After school, the kids played outside with the Luther kids for a while. They were up and down the new trail. Bonnie fell about halfway up the trail. Gilbert came to get me. I went up there to get Bonnie, and she was already headed down with Josh and Charissa. She had scraped her elbow, but she was okay.
Danny was leaning on one of the bricks around the fire pit. (There was no fire in the pit.) The brick fell and scraped both of Danny’s arms. Then, Bonnie fell and scraped her head on the cement.
After naps, the kids were back outside. Joe was burning some brush. Gilbert and Danny were finding more things to add to the fire. The boys went up the hill to pick up wood pieces that they had scattered all over the Luthers’ yard. Bonnie wanted to go up the trail, but she wanted someone to hold her hand. So, I got to make my second trip up the trail. I was worried that I was going to fall on top of her. It is steep and slippery. Flip flops are not the best shoes for traversing the trail! We got about 3/4 of the way up, and the boys started back down. So, we turned around and headed back down. Joe was at the bottom of the hill laughing.
At supper time, one of the power phases went off. It is the phase for the pump that pumps water from the tank to the house and for some of the plugs. Gilbert and Danny both read to me. Now, they are running around like wild Indians.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
