Bonjour,
Joe went visiting this morning. They spent most of the time talking to
one of the men in the church. He makes soap and sells it. He had been
selling it to different boutiques on credit and then going back to
collect the funds, and the people weren't paying him for the soap. So,
he wasn't eating because he didn't have any money, and he wasn't
sleeping because he was worrying about his money problems. He had
gotten sick from not eating or sleeping. Joe worked out a plan with him
so that he can make another batch of soap, sell it up front, have money
for food, and gradually pay Joe back.
I fed the boys lunch a little earlier than normal and put them down for
a nap. Around 2:00, Joe took the boys over to Lenell. She was having a
birthday party for a couple girls in the church. She let the boys join
in on the fun.

Joe, Bonnie, and I went into Abidjan. There are supposed to be
manifestations on Monday; so, we needed to get a few groceries and run a
couple errands before all of that. We went to the mall to get a printer
cartridge and look at the health food store. Joe is on a low-carb
diet. Then, we went to the grocery store that is inside the mall. We
ordered pizza. Joe got me an ice-cream cone while we waited for the
pizza. We stopped at one more store and then headed home. Bonnie got a
little upset in the last store because she didn't like their music. It
was nice to get out of the house for a little while.
I made a salad for Joe while the pizza warmed up. Lenell ate supper
with us. She said that the boys were really good and that they had a
good time. They went for a walk after the party. Danny told the cows
to obey.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
