W'apow mu e,

Danny was the first child up this morning.  He definitely has a one-track mind.  Last night before he went to bed, he was copying the words from a book about George Washington.  This morning as soon as he got up, he came into the kitchen carrying his book, paper, and pen.  He was going to take the paper to show his teacher.  Then, he decided that it wasn't his nicest writing and that he shouldn't take it to show the teacher.

Everyone was ready for school when the taxi came.

I am feeling a little better today.  I got some laundry done and did a lot of resting.

Joe had a good day in Israel.

This afternoon, the kids wanted to swim. We attempted to vacuum the pool.  Gilbert told me that the hose had to be completely under the water.  As I was trying to hold the hose under, I fell in the pool fully dressed.  The kids were all in shock for a minute.  They are always trying to get me to jump in the pool, and I'm not brave enough.  After they saw that I was okay, Gilbert said, "Mom, I think you were diving."  We never did figure out how to make the vacuum work.

Bonnie said that her whole class almost had to go to the office today because they did not know the name of the animal on their paper.  She said that it was an animal with horns that starts with "v."  She said, "You know, like v,v,v – vilean."  I said, "Do you mean violin?"  She said, "At school, they say it 'vilean,' but we say 'violin,' right Mom?"

After supper, we sang some songs and read a Bible story for church.  The guard did not show up today; we will find someone dependable eventually.

Gilbert did his homework.  Danny read to me.  Then, Bonnie wanted to "read" too.

Danny was having a little trouble with asthma tonight.  We did a breathing treatment, and that seemed to help.

Nantsew yie!
