Bonjour,

Joe took the kids to school.  Then, he went to buy a mattress for guests who are coming.  He bought some plywood to put underneath the mattress and cut it down to size when he got home.  The mattress was a "queen size" here, but our queen size sheets would not fit it.  So, we had to use king sized sheets on it.  I had one set clean, and I put the set that was on our bed in the washer.  The power went off; for some reason, with the generator, the latch on the washer does not release; so, the sheets are trapped in the washer.  Oh well, we'll just use some flat queen sheets for tonight.
The power went off around 11:00.  It went off with a bang; I knew that didn't sound good.  The power came back on at 7:00 this evening, but one phase was off while another phase had low voltage.  So, it was back to the generator.
Dan met with the head of the committee and the secretary of the committee today concerning our paperwork.  They said that today was their last day to be in session and that they already had the papers that they would be considering today.  They said that they would try to work ours in, but if not, we would be first in the stack when they meet again next month.  Dan said that one good thing was that he saw our paperwork; so, at least we know it has not been lost.  Our ninety-day extensions expire at the beginning of May.  So, we will just have to wait to hear if they reviewed our paperwork today or if it got held until next month's meeting.  Please continue to pray about the paperwork situation.
The kids had a good day at school.  Gilbert had the medal again today; he was excited about that.  We found out today that they have rearranged the school schedule a little.  The second trimester will end this Friday, and they will go back to school for the third trimester on May 2.
Brother Davis rode with us to pick the kids up.  The plan was to go to the airport to pick up two more men who were supposed to arrive this afternoon.  A plane landed right on time, but the men we were waiting for did not come out.  We found out that their flight had been cancelled; they will be flying into Takoradi tomorrow.  The kids were disappointed that the people did not come and that we didn't go out to eat.
Brother Davis ate supper with us this evening.  After supper, Joe helped Brother Davis get the generator down at the other house going.  I worked on sorting things in the office today.  The kids found the K-4 school DVDs that Danny used last year.  They wanted to watch one of those.  They all three sat there and watched.  I thought it was funny that they wanted to watch school after they had been in school all day.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
