Bonjour,
Joe took the kids to school. I worked on unpacking boxes so that I could take the empty boxes back to the other house to load them up again. I will be glad when everything is unpacked and put away; then, hopefully I won't have to see any boxes for a while after that. I went down to the other house and cleaned out most of the pantry. I should be able to finish up down there tomorrow.
The welder and his crew came today to begin the security bar installation process. Today, they knocked all of the holes in the wall and will come back tomorrow to cement the bars in place. We are glad that the bars are being installed outside this time; we didn't have cement dust all over everything at the end of the day. Just a little dust came in through the windows.
The kids had a good day at school. No one had to visit the office. That's always a good day!
The Learning to Read class got moved to tonight this week, but the students did not show up. So, Joe wasn't gone very long this evening.
Tonight, Gilbert was saying something silly. Bonnie said, "Mom, that's not good; it's not in the Bible; it's from outside the Bible, right?" A few minutes later, Bonnie came to report that the brothers were being selfish. She is quick on the draw to keep others in line; when it comes to her, it is a different story.
At bed time, I have been reading different stories to the kids. We were reading Barney and the Barrel. Bonnie broke out bawling when she heard that Barney died. Danny started crying too. It took us awhile to get them calmed down. Gilbert was trying to be silly so that the other two would stop crying.
Please pray about our paperwork situation to remain in Ghana. The approval committee only meets quarterly. They are in session right now, but there is no guarantee that they will review our paperwork during this session. We need this paperwork to obtain our residents' visas. Our visas expire in May; without this paperwork, it will be difficult to obtain another visa or visa extension.
