Bonjour,

Joe and Gilbert left at 8:00 this morning to head to Bonoua. Gilbert
played with the Post boys while Joe and Dan went to visit in Bonoua.
They had made a few visits when it started raining.

They decided to go back and visit the man in charge of construction in
Bonoua to find out what areas of town would be good for starting a
church. He told them where they shouldn't do it and the possibilities
of where they could do it. He didn't know of anything available for
rent. So, he called the man from the office next door. He said he
didn't have anything for rent right now, but he asked what they were
needing. They explained that they were looking for a place to start a
Bible study on Tuesdays. He offered to let them use the hangar in his
front yard. He took them and showed it to them. It is a covered
building that is bricked in on the sides. It is in a good location and
should work out great until they can find something to rent.

The Posts and Joe and Gilbert tried out a new restaurant today. It is
called Castle Fried Chicken (Chateau Poulet Pane). They said it is the
closest thing to KFC that they have eaten in Africa. Even their
coleslaw tasted like KFC. Joe brought some home for supper; it was good!

Joe and Gilbert stopped at the store to pick up a few things for me.
Then, they headed home. When they got home, I found out that Tammy was
over at Lenell's. Her vehicle was being worked on again. So, the boys
and I went to visit them for a little while before Tammy headed home.

Joe went to visit Roger this evening. Roger did our yard work for
several years. A few months ago, he went back to work for the electric
company. He had worked for them up north before the war broke out. He
called Joe yesterday to tell him that his dad was dying of cancer. He
called again late last night to tell Joe that he had died. So, Joe and
Augustin went to visit Roger. He was doing well under the
circumstances. They don't know when the funeral will be.

We had our "KFC" when Joe got home. Danny really liked the chicken. He
said, "More please."

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, and Danny
