Bonjour,
Joe is still not feeling well. He started a medicine for parasites on Saturday; the medicine is pretty rough.
Joe took the kids to school. Then, an exterminator came to spray the yard to try to get rid of our scorpion population. While he was spraying, he found a nest of baby cobras and killed them.
Joe worked on typing some Fante lessons. He found an old book of sixty-six Fante lessons, but some of it is very hard to read. He is retyping it so that we can use it in our Fante lessons, which will begin next Monday.
I made more curtains today. I am finished with the dining room now.
The kids swam when they got home from school. I watched them and then got supper ready.
One of the teachers told Joe a funny story today. On Fridays, the teachers have a meeting after school. The principal visits each classroom during the week and then tells the teachers things that need to work on. On Friday, he told Gilbert's teacher that he needed to work on his pronunciation of words since he has a foreign student (Gilbert) in his class. The principal told Danny's teacher that she was doing fine with her pronunciations. He told Bonnie's teacher that Bonnie is an African and that she didn't need to do anything different for her. : )
Bonnie and Danny helped me fold laundry. Their piles are not perfect, but they are making progress.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
