That was fun! After reading how a couple of missionary wives are making your own cream soups, I think I'll try it soon too. I also want to try making homemade mayonnaise as it is very expensive here, and we use quite a bit of it for Ranch dressing (powder from the States) and veggie dip. I'm thinking of trying homemade taco sauce and maybe homemade tomato sauce. Got any recipes? What do you do for those two things?

We have Blue Band and Gold Band here too. BJ recently bought it for me in bulk–a 10 kg bucket. Do you have a large deep freezer to keep the bulk flour, milk, etc?

I drank powdered milk growing up. My men do not like it though. We can get decent cold milk here. Thanks for posting. I am especially interested in other African countries as they seem to be similar to here, although I am sure we probably have more available here in Kenya. Sometimes I feel spoiled!
