Bonjour,
Our power was off from 8:00 to 4:00 today. The contractors must be back at work. The kids said that the power was off at school this morning for a little while too.
My project today was organizing the pantry. I found a place for all of the canning stuff that we bought from another missionary. After Thanksgiving, we will have to have another canning day.
A new school in our neighborhood opened today. Joe said that the road was filled with school students as he left to go get the kids from school. He will have to start leaving before that school lets out so that he won't have trouble getting through. They were all asking for rides. They were going to a school in Sekondi, and they divided the students in half. Now, they have to find their own transportation to get to this school. The taxi drops them off at the pavement; then, they have to walk a mile down the dirt road to the school.
Joe took the kids swimming while I worked on supper.
Gilbert was the only one with homework today. Danny wrote from 1-80 on a blank piece of paper of his own accord while Gilbert did his homework. When Danny got to 50, he started asking which family came next, but he got to 50 all on his own. I think it is funny that he does busy work like that when he doesn't have homework. Bonnie pulls out a coloring book to do her "homework."
I played a game with the kids after I finished the dishes. Then, we watched Monk before bed time. We started a new Bible story book yesterday. It tells what verses to read from the Bible. Bonnie wanted me to use her Bible tonight because "it is white, and it is nicer than the brothers' Bibles."
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
