Bonjour,
The taxi came this morning to take the kids to school. Mrs. Naomi and Brother Dan rode with the kids to school.
I spent most of the day in the kitchen. I made cupcakes for Valentines Day and frosted them. Then, I made buns for sloppy joes. I also made cream puffs for a special treat for breakfast tomorrow.
Joe went and found the electrician and brought him out to the house. They were able to get the electrical problem fixed on the vehicle.
The kids had a good day at school except for Bonnie; she had to visit the principal once again. When the teacher told her to do her work, Bonnie told her "No." That is one stubborn child. She was in trouble!!
It started raining just as the kids came home. The sun was still shining. The rain let up. So, they headed up the road to the Luthers. It started raining again as they set out; they all grabbed their umbrellas.
After supper, I worked on Valentines with the kids. We got a list of names for all of the children in their classes today. When I said some of the names, the kids would tell me, "I don't have anyone in my class with that name." If I pronounced it differently, then they would say, "Yes, I have one of them in my class." Gilbert has been talking about a girl in his class named "Sermon;" her name is actually "Selma." Danny has three boys in his class named "Kelvin," but he thinks their name is "Kirbin." Bonnie corrected me on several names: "It's not Dorcas, Mom. It's Doughcoss." We finished with all of those just before bed time. Bonnie has 29 in her class; Danny has 26, and Gilbert has 21. Bonnie and Danny wanted to write the names on each one, but they wanted me to help them. Danny signed his own name on all of them; then, I helped him with the names of the kids in his class. I held Bonnie's hand in mine, and we wrote everything together. That was quite a project!
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
