Bonjour,

This morning, we did some things around the house. Then, we headed to
Abidjan. We needed to go to the bank to get the money to pay for our
vehicle, and we were going to eat lunch.

Right after we got on the auto route (comparable to the interstate), the
traffic was totally stopped due to construction. They are in the
process of laying a new gasoline pipeline. Only one lane was open, and
the traffic was at a standstill. We decided to exit and try a frontage
road. A lot of other people had that same idea. There were several
wrecks. They were trying to make a two-lane road into a six-lane road.

Bonnie slept in her car seat for the most part. Danny and Gilbert were
getting a bit restless. It was hot. Danny started crying. He got so
worked up that he puked.

After two hours of basically going nowhere, we turned around and headed
home. We went to Anyama to check the post office box. We had three
packages. It takes awhile for all of the paperwork. Joe went across
the street to the store and bought some ice-cream bars and drinks. All
three children were in the front seat with me. Bonnie was bouncing in
my lap, and I was holding my drink and ice-cream as well as Gilbert's
drink. Every time Bonnie bounced, the drinks spilled. Gilbert was
standing next to me in the seat. He nonchalantly said, "Mom, your hair
is feeling my ice-cream." I had pop and ice-cream everywhere.

We got home and opened the packages. Some of the stuff is for Easter;
so, we saved that for later. Gilbert wanted to know why he couldn't see
what else was in the boxes.

Gilbert took a nap. Danny and Bonnie's naps in the car must have given
them a second wind because they didn't go to sleep.

We got some movies in a couple of the packages. So, we watched one of
those tonight. After the children went to bed, I wrapped Gilbert's
birthday presents. He requested Dunkin donuts for breakfast tomorrow on
his birthday; so, I made the dough for those as well.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
