Bonjour,

This morning, Joe took the kids to school.  Then, he met with a couple men from the church.  When he got home, he did some office work.
I did some cleaning and some laundry.  I sorted toys in the kids' bedroom once again.
I rode with Joe to pick the kids up from school.  I wanted to check with the boys' teachers to see how they are doing.  Gilbert's teacher said that he is a little weak in reading and math; we dug out some flashcards and books tonight to do a little extra work in those areas.  Danny's teacher said that he is doing fine.  Bonnie's teacher said that Bonnie did a very good job writing "C" today.  They are teaching the three-year-olds the manuscript letters.  Bonnie said, "Mom, I had to do some work at school today.  That way I can get smart.  Then, I can read dad's cowboy books!"
When we got home, we had chocolate shakes.  Then, Joe took the kids swimming while I worked on supper.
During supper, the boys were discussing the fact that Danny's teacher did not wear her glasses today.  I asked if her glasses broke.  Gilbert said, "Maybe she got tacs."  (He meant contacts.)  Danny said, "Nope, her eyes just got better."
After supper, I did some flashcards with Gilbert.  Then, they did their homework while I did the dishes.  Danny did both of his pages without anyone standing next to him making sure that he was doing what he was supposed to do.  I said, "Danny, you did that all by yourself!"  He said, "I tricked you, Mom."
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
