Bonjour,
Last night, one of the gas stations in Bassam was burned. The owner is a friend of Gbagbo's. Some tires were also burned.
What a turn of events today! Both men took the oath of office! Gbagbo was supposed to be inaugurated at noon. It did not take place until 1:30. Meanwhile, Ouattara was at a hotel preparing to be sworn in. The rebels in the north are threatening to take arms if Outtarra is not given his rightful place as president. Please continue to pray for this whole situation.
Joe worked on putting vinyl lettering on the sides of the vehicle today. He definitely doesn't want anyone to confuse our vehicle with a UN vehicle. Most of the UN vehicles are white Toyota Land Cruisers. Ours was white, but we had it painted silver and black.
I got another box sorted and got caught up on some laundry. The water was on for quite a while today.
The kids played with the Post boys this morning and again this afternoon after naps. We watched the news off and on today at the Posts' house.
After supper, we watched a movie. The boys always want to choose the movie, but then they end up playing more than watching.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
