Bonjour,

This morning, Joe got up and made breakfast for the kids.  He packed their lunches, got them dressed for school, and got the kids to school ten minutes early.  Then, he came home and made fresh squeezed orange juice for me.  He brought it to me in bed and then told me to go back to sleep.  When I got up, he had folded the laundry and was sewing buttons on the boys' school shirts.  He told me that he did not want me to do any work today.
About 10:00, we went into town to have some lab work done.  They took blood, and we should get the results tomorrow afternoon.  The main things for which they are checking are to see if the typhoid is still active, to see if I might have malaria (which often accompanies typhoid), and to see if I am anemic.
When we got home, I went back to bed.  Joe picked the kids up from school.
Yesterday, Joe was two minutes late in picking the kids up from school.  So, he was not standing inside like he normally is.  When he walked in, all three kids were crying.  They said that they thought Daddy wasn't coming.  Apparently, that fear carried over to today.  When Joe dropped the kids off for school, Gilbert started crying and asked, "Dad, are you going to leave us long?"  Joe assured him that he would not.  Gilbert and Danny cried all morning at school.  They both had to visit the principal.  The principal tried to find out what was wrong, but he could not understand what the boys were saying.  So, Gilbert said that the principal prayed with them and prayed for me to feel better.  Gilbert said that after recess he did not cry anymore.  They said that they won't cry anymore because they know that Daddy will come to get them.
I got up and helped the boys with their homework.  Danny was saying, "I hate it; I hate it; I hate it; I don't want to do it."  I told him not to say that he hated it and that he had to do it.  He said, "Well, I don't like it."
Kristine made supper tonight.  We have been alternating the supper meal while the company is here.  Brother Davis goes back to the States on Friday.
Joe took all of the kids to church.  I stayed home and was instructed to just rest.  I followed the instructions.  Bonnie and Danny were both so tired that they fell asleep during church.  School wears a person out!
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
