Bonjour,

I didn't get an e-mail sent yesterday.  So, I will catch you up on yesterday and today.

On Thursday morning, we were getting ready to head to Accra.  Joe went in a taxi to get Becky and Kristine.  They offered to keep the kids for us while we went to Accra for a couple days.

Bonnie was about to sneeze.  Joe said, "Bless you," right before she sneezed.  Then, she couldn't sneeze.  She said, "Daddy, I wasn't ready for a blessing yet!"

Danny had a great idea.  He had a plastic coke bottle.  He said, "Mom, if we could poke a hole in this lid, it would be a squirt gun."  I told him that I didn't know if we could poke a hole in the lid and to go ask Daddy.  Joe heated the end of a screwdriver and poked a hole in the lid.  Danny was so excited; it worked great!  Then, Gilbert and Bonnie needed one too.

We left the house about 9:30.  The kids were all happy to see us go.  They were very excited about having Miss Kristine and Miss Becky stay with them.

We loaded a VIP bus.  It is air-conditioned.  We sat until the bus filled up; then, we were off to Accra.  We arrived in Accra about 2:30 without incident.  Then, we took a taxi to the guest house.  We spent the evening fellowshipping with Britt and Lee Bell, the caretakers of the guest house.  She made pizza for us.  Then, we played Skipbo.  We talked to the kids a couple times during the day.  Kristine called us at bed time because all of the kids were crying and wanted to talk to Mommy.

This morning, we got in a taxi and went to the Accra Mall.  That was nice!  It felt like we weren't even in Africa there for a minute.  There is a store in the mall called Game.  It was recently bought out by Wal-mart.  They had a nice selection.  From there, we went to a big Lebanese store.  Then, a taxi dropped us off at Koala, another store, where we found powdered sugar.  We walked to Frankie's from there.  It is a good restaurant.  Then, we walked back to the guest house.  I rested for a little while.  Joe helped Britt change out a fan, fix a leak, and do a little painting.  We ate supper with the Bells.  Now, we are going to watch "Support Your Local Sheriff" in the office, the only room that has an air conditioner.

The kids are doing well and having a good time.  We will head back to Takoradi in the morning on another VIP bus.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
