Bonjour,
Lo is sick tonight, so you have to put up with my version of the daily e-mail.
We got up and went through the usual circus to get ready for church this morning. These three little kids can make a morning special! One Sunday morning at our house and you will be glad to return to your calm Sunday mornings!
We had a good day at church despite a small problem that people had conjured up. A few people have not been very faithful this year and they did not hear the announcement about a funeral and they missed it. So, to save face, they said that I had not announced it properly. Even though I announced it every service this year and even went to their house individually and told them. Oh well! We are having some people who want to learn and are very faithful and excited about what God is doing in their lives. The Devil wants everybody grumpy!
Laura got bit on the leg by a tsetse fly yesterday. Her leg started hurting this morning at church. Gilbert helped his mom by telling the story in Jr. Church. Lo said he did a great job and the kids all listened very well. The kids are getting the local version of English down pretty good now!
Lo stayed home from church this evening! Her leg is quite swollen, and she has to alternate ice and elevation to keep the swelling down. She has a fever and just does not feel well at all. Every time one of those tsetse flies bites her, she does this same thing. Usually I get them the moment I see them, but I missed that one, and it got her.
This evening after church, Gilbert and Danny were building a fort in their room, and Bonnie kept bulldozing their fort. Gilbert came out of the room and announced, "We can't do any thing fun with THIS GIRL around!" Bonnie had to report that their fort was in her kitchen and that it was just too much fun to "disturb the brothers!"
Lo took some meds and has gone to bed. I tucked the kids in, and Bonnie gave me permission to take mom's place and read the story for tonight only!
A demain,
Joe, Lo, Gil, DJ, and Boo
