Bonjour,
Joe took the kids to school this morning. Then, he watched a football game that he had recorded last night. The last two minutes of the game did not record; so, he had to listen to the end online.
I worked on getting caught up on the laundry. With all of the work going on last week, I kept putting all of the clean laundry in the closet until I could get rid of the dust so that I could fold the clothes and put them away.
When the kids got home from school, Gilbert's first words were, "Mom, I failed one of my exams." He said that they asked him who the first president of Ghana was, and he did not know. He said that there were five questions and that he got four of them wrong. They have not sent any work home for the past few days. So, we don't know what we should review. We'll have to check into it. The teachers are not used to having parents who want to be involved. I am sure that a lot of the parents cannot even read. He said he thinks he has done fine on the other tests. Then, Danny was telling us some of the questions that the teacher asked him today. He said that he got most of them right. He had some questions about Ghana too. I think they have been doing some Ghana history on the side since it is not on the American DVDs. Bonnie said that she doesn't do tests! : )
Joe has been telling the boys that when they learn to read, they can read his cowboy books. Danny is just now starting to sound out words, and he thought he was ready for a cowboy book tonight. He tried a couple words and decided that he was not quite ready yet. Danny and Bonnie did some puzzles. Gilbert watched a car show with Daddy.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
