Bonjour,
This morning, Joe talked to the lady who is working on getting our stuff out of port. She said that the inspection would be today or tomorrow. So, Joe went and had the hitch put on our vehicle so that he can pull the trailer with our vehicle.
We started school. Then, the karate teacher came. After karate, we finished school. Gilbert was ready to be back in school. Danny's brain was still outside playing, I think. But, we made it through.
This afternoon, Joe went by the transit office to check on the inspection and found out that it will be tomorrow morning. Customs will inspect the boxes and then make a report. After they do their report, then we can pay and pick up the pallets. So, we might get our stuff on Friday. Please pray that everything goes smoothly.
Then, Joe went to the Ghanaian Embassy to pick up our passport and the Posts' passports. They gave us a one-year visa. They usually only give a three-month visa. Joe got to talk to the consular and witness to him. Joe said that he saw seven wrecks today on his way to the embassy.
On Joe's way home, there was a Muslim man riding on a motorcycle. He was wearing a "boo-boo." It is a large, flowing robe. There was a traffic jam, and the motorcycle was weaving in and out of traffic. As he passed Joe's brush guard, his robe got caught. It pulled him off of the motorcycle, and the motorcycle was bouncing off of cars in front of Joe's vehicle. Joe took the first available exit.
Bonnie was "cooking" again today. She had everything set up on the floor and was saying, "Here, Honey. Here's your plate, Honey." I asked her who her honey was. She said, "I don't know, just Honey." When I told Joe about it, he said, "I had better be her Honey." She agreed with Daddy that he was her Honey. A little later, she told Joe that I was her Honey. She is a mess. Gilbert was walking past, and she called him Honey. That just about embarrassed Gilbert to death. Gilbert's face turned red and he said, "Mom, she called me Honey!"
For supper tonight, I made sweet and sour meatballs. It is my mom's recipe. The boys said, "These are like Grandma's meatballs, Mom. But where is the jello?" They remembered that she made jello when she made meatballs. I hadn't even thought of that.
We still aren't too sure about going out at night yet. We listened to a preaching CD at home.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
