Bonjour,

The meeting in the village went well last night. There were twelve
people saved. Joe said that the whole village turned out for the
meeting. They don't have electricity or running water; so, they were
very excited to have something like this out there.

This morning, we got some things done around the house. Around 11:00,
Joe headed into Abidjan. He needed to take Dan's generator and
projector back to him. They met for lunch. They ate at a French
restaurant today to try it out. They thought that the food was very good.

After lunch, Joe ran some errands. He was looking for some hoses for
the swimming pool. He stopped to ask a man that sells pumps to see if
he might know here he could find the hoses. The man is a staunch
Muslim. Dan Post had been there earlier in the day to buy a pump. The
man started talking to Joe. He asked him why he and Dan were here. Joe
explained what we do. He got to witness to the man for thirty minutes.
The man said that he wanted to think about these things and talk to Joe
again. Please pray that the Lord would continue to work on his heart.

Joe went into a hardware store. When he was paying for the things that
he bought, the cashier told him that she lives just down the street from
the church in Belleville. She said that her husband is Muslim and
doesn't allow her to attend church. She told Joe to thank me for
teaching the children because she listens to our lesson every week.

Joe got back just after we got up from naps. We all went swimming. The
boys both swam a little bit by themselves today. They were excited
about that. They are working on doggy paddling first.

During supper, a fly landed on Gilbert's head. He said, "Mom, after
supper I need to get that whacker thing (otherwise known as a fly
swatter) to kill that fly."

Danny has two molars coming in; he has not been very happy. Joe said
that he is like a grizzly bear whose hibernation has been disturbed.
Danny was sitting in my lap tonight. He said, "Mom, I'm going to fight
you up." He thinks that if you "beat up" that you also "fight up" and
"wrestle up."

Bonnie is going to town in her walker. There is a little step into the
pantry. She went down that step today in the walker; then, she couldn't
get back out of the pantry. That made her mad. She is starting to
crawl too. She can't be left anywhere except the floor because she
rolls over and immediately starts scooting backward to slide down.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
