Bonjour,

This morning, we had breakfast.  Then, we did school.  Danny has a cold and kept crying today.  Gilbert was sad that Daddy couldn't come home today.  We made it through school.  Then, the kids went outside to play.
While I was fixing lunch, the power went off.  It stayed off for a couple hours.  I tried to start the generator, but the battery was dead.  Gilbert said, "Mom, I wish that I was God.  Then, I could just tell the lights to come back on." Just before Charlie came to jump the battery, the power came back on.  No one got much of a nap since the power was off.
The kids went up to play with the Luther kids for a while.  Then, we walked to a little store to get some more phone minutes.  We have walked that way several times now.  Gilbert and Danny said that they were going to beat us home.  They kept hiding on the path and then jumping out to scare us.  They beat us home.  Bonnie kept saying, "We need to beat them, Mom."  She would run for about ten seconds and then was back to walking again.  The people in the neighborhood enjoy seeing the "bronies" (Brony is the Fante word for white man.) out and about.
I made some cookies for our after-supper snack.  Those were a big hit.  The boys have been wrestling and antagonizing each other all evening so that they won't fall asleep.  If they stayed still for a minute, they would be out.  I found Bonnie with a glue stick.  She thought it was chap stick.  She normally eats chap stick, but she was just trying to put it on her lips this time.
Dan is still sick; they are pretty sure that it is malaria.  He seems to be doing a little better this evening.  Joe went and got vitamins for him and is trying to help him get better so that they can home tomorrow.  Joe said that he read four Louis L'amour books today; he definitely had lots of free time on his hands.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
