Bonjour,
Today was our last day of school! The boys were both excited this morning. Danny said it was going to be such a fun day because it was the last day of school; but when it came to do his schoolwork, he balked. We made it through though. Now, we will have a couple months off before we tackle school again. We are going to work on reading this summer.
The electricians came back this morning to finish up. They had wired something wrong yesterday so that the outside lights were not coming on. They got that fixed and got the other fans and lights installed. Evans was up at the top of the ladder. Bonnie looked up at him and said, "Zacchaeus, you come down!" They didn't understand what she said; so, I told them. Evans is quite tall. One of the guys helping him was shorter, and he said that he was more like Zacchaeus than Evans. Later, Bonnie was part way up the ladder singing Zacchaeus.
Joe spent most of the morning trying to get the Siekberts' mechanic over to their house to look at their vehicle. The mechanic took a part to get it fixed but never did get it fixed. There is always tomorrow!
The water from the well has been quite dirty from all of the rain. We have been bleaching the water and filtering it twice, but the filter just doesn't seem to be getting it quite clean. So, we went back to packaged water today until the dirt settles and the water is cleaner. A couple of us have been having some stomach problems, and we think it is due to the water. I started the medication for parasites today.
April came for supper tonight. We are going to miss having her around. She leaves on Monday with the Luthers to go back to the States. She will be home for about six weeks before heading to Gambia to teach for some missionaries there for a year. We had a good time of fellowship with her.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
