Bonjour,
This morning as we got in the vehicle to head to church, the car would not start. The battery was completely dead. So, we got out and walked toward the taxi station. We caught a taxi and went to church. Between the services, Joe realized that he had left the keys in the car; the key ring has our house keys on it too. So, he asked Brother Arthur to take him to the house. When they got to the house, the vehicle was running. The key was not turned on; the car was just running. Since it was running, Joe brought it back to church.
Gilbert led the singing in Sunday school. Danny taught the lesson on the days of creation. Since Gilbert taught the lesson last week, Danny has been asking all week if he could teach today. When Danny first got up, he said, "What do I say now, Mom?" I asked him some questions to get him started. He did good for his first attempt.
During church, I had twenty-six in my class with no helper. Danny and Gilbert helped with the songs. Gilbert taught the lesson on Adam and Eve. I helped him out a little.
Joe said that the morning service went well. There was a man who visited today for the first time.
The vehicle started right up after church. We went home, ate lunch, took naps, and got ready to go back to church.
Once again, the car would not start. Joe was looking at things under the hood. He touched a wire. The lights came on and the doors locked. It was a good thing that Joe had left his door open. But after doing a little checking, he saw that the wire connected to the battery had melted into the battery. He disconnected the battery, and we took a taxi once again. He did not want anything to catch on fire. He will have an electrician come and get it sorted out tomorrow.
We had a good service this evening with nine in attendance.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
