Bonjour,

Joe went visiting with Matt this morning.  It will be their last time to go visiting together for awhile.  The Litsons leave on Wednesday to go home for furlough for a year.

The boys and I worked on getting the rest of the container items unpacked.  The Litson girls came to play for awhile.

Lenell went visiting with Margie.  When she got home, she moved boxes to the garage for me.  She helped me get the house ready for a party for Sarah’s birthday tonight.

I made a cake and got it frosted.  Then, we all got a nap in.

After naps, we finished tidying up and worked on supper preparations.   Everyone brought their own fixings for raclette.  Raclette is a French cheese.  There is a special machine with little trays that melt the cheese with a frying pan type thing on top for cooking the meat.  The meat and cheese is eaten over potatoes.  It is very good.

Margie made a chocolate cream pie.  The adults went for the pie, and the children enjoyed the cake.  Some of the adults sampled the cake as well.

Gilbert had a great time playing with the girls.  Danny smashed his finger today.  He would play until he bumped that finger; then, the crying would begin all over again.  That boy always has some type of injury.
