Bonjour,

The Posts let me use their computer.  We arrived in Ivory Coast safely yesterday without incident.  We left the house at 5:00, picked Kristine up, and headed out.  There were more checkpoints than normal between the border and Bassam, but we didn't get stopped at all.  They were just happy to see white people.  We got to the Posts' house at 11:30.

Joe and Dan went into Abidjan for haircuts and groceries in the afternoon.  I got a little nap in.  The kids played hard all afternoon and evening.  They were so excited to get reacquainted with their toys and had a great time with the Post boys.

We played a big game of Dutch Blitz last night.  Joe won, of course, but we all had a good time.

This morning, Joe and Danny headed into Abidjan about 7:45.  Joe had to get Danny's picture taken for the Ghanaian visa application.  They have added an additional document to the list of requirements.  So, they had to do some running around but got everything turned in.  We should be able to pick up the visa tomorrow afternoon.

I worked on sorting and packing up our stuff.  I got the bathroom and hallway cabinets sorted and packed.  I don't think I will get it all done on this trip, but I'll get some more done tomorrow.

It is still not safe to be out at night; so, we will have our Wednesday evening service here with the Posts and Kristine tonight.

Tomorrow, we are all going to go into town to pick up the visa and eat at Akle, a restaurant with delicious chicken strips.  There is also a new Italian ice cream place that we need to try out.  We will head home on Friday if all goes well with getting the visa tomorrow.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
