Bonjour,

Gilbert wanted to help me make Dutch pancakes for breakfast this morning.  Before we got started, I remembered that I had used the last of my eggs last night making "egg rolls" (deviled eggs) for Danny.  So, we made biscuits instead.
The karate teacher was sick this morning.  So, the boys didn't have karate today.  Around 10:00, the doorbell rang.  Bonnie jumped up and said, "I think it's the karate teacher!"
Joe and Dan went to the market in Bassam to get eggs before the elections.  They also went to the hardware store and got the things needed to hook our dryer up.
After lunch, the kids and I took a nap.  Joe worked on getting the dryer up and running.  Now, if the water would just stay on, we are set up to do laundry.  The water was off and on throughout the day today.  I got one load of laundry done before it went off.
Vladimir, a neighbor boy, comes over to play often.  He said that his mother had been having problems with low blood pressure.  So, Jennifer and I walked over to visit her this afternoon.  They are from Russia.  I greeted her in Russian, and she was so surprised to hear someone here speaking Russian.  I told her that I studied it in college but that I had forgotten a lot of it because French had taken over.  They are Orthodox.  In the past when Jennifer has invited her to church, she has refused saying that she worships at home.  Today, she accepted the invitation.  She said that after things have settled after the elections that she would come to church.  I have a Russian Bible and a Russian songbook in a barrel somewhere.  I will have to dig them out.  Please pray for Marina and her son Vladimir and that we would be able to be a witness to them.
After supper, the kids helped do the dishes.  Gilbert was washing, and Danny was rinsing.  Bonnie got up on the cooler with Danny so that she could help too.  I had to reject a few dishes, but they did a pretty good job.  When it came to the pans, Gilbert let me take over.  He wiped the table and swept the floor.  We had to mop the floor when they were finished with the dishes.  Then, we watched Snowball Express with the kids.
There has been a curfew given which begins tonight.  Some of the Gbagbo followers around town were saying that they were not going to observe the curfew.  The elections are tomorrow.  We will have church at home tomorrow.  Please be in prayer concerning the outcome of the elections.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
