Bonjour,
Joe went out to Bonoua today. The Posts have had guests all weekend;
so, the children and I didn't go today. Romeo wanted to go with Joe and
Dan today. They had some good visits. They passed out a whole box of
John and Romans today.
Bonnie was fussy today. She didn't want to be put down at all. I think
she is working on a tooth. I was able to get a few things done.
The boys had fun playing. At nap time, I thought everyone was taking a
nap; but I found out later that Gilbert was up and about for awhile.
Margie had left some pie for us last night. I had it on a plate on the
bottom shelf of the refrigerator. When I went to get it out for dessert
tonight, I noticed that a piece of the pie was missing. I told Joe that
Danny must have grabbed it when I wasn't looking. About that time,
Gilbert piped up and said, "No, the hungry hippo stole it while you were
sleeping, Mommy." He then told us that he was the hippo. He said,
"Hippos like pie." Daddy explained that we don't take things without
asking and that if he does it again, he will be in trouble.

Then, I found Gilbert's pillows stacked up next to Danny's bed. I asked
Gilbert why his pillows were on the floor. He said that he put them
there during nap time so that he could climb in Danny's bed to try to
wake him up. That boy! That sounds like stories I've heard about Joe
when he was a boy; he didn't like naps either. Gilbert did eventually
get a nap in because he was asleep when I woke up.
Everyone was happy to see Daddy when he got home. The boys go sit on
the porch and wait for Daddy to get the car parked.
After Danny went to bed, a big frog was in the living room. Gilbert
caught it, and Joe helped him take it outside.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
