Bonjour,
The power phase for the kitchen was still off this morning. Joe moved
things around last night so that we could keep the refrigerator and
freezer running. We had used the plugs for the TV for the kitchen; so,
we just did pages today instead of trying to get everything hooked back
up to use the DVDs. The boys didn't mind. It doesn't take as long that
way.
Joe went up to the church this morning. The kids played inside for a
while before venturing outside.
The Luther kids were having a picnic on the "path" (the trail that leads
from our house to their house.) The kids came in and wanted to know if
they could take their food and go to the picnic. I had made
sandwiches. So, I gave them all a paper towel with their sandwich and
transferred their drinks to something portable. They were off to the
path. Bonnie and Danny both came back in a little while to say that
their sandwiches had gotten dirty. I sent them back out with their
sandwich in a bag.

After naps, we went into town to go grocery shopping. We stopped on the
market circle to buy flour and sugar in bulk. Then, we went on to the
grocery store. While the kids and I shopped, Joe walked back to the
market circle to get chicken and hot dogs from the cold store. We got
stuck in traffic on the way home.
The power had gone off just before we left, but it was back on by the
time we got home.
Tomorrow is my youngest sister's birthday. I called her this evening.
I was telling the kids that it was her birthday tomorrow. Bonnie wanted
to talk. She sang her own rendition of "Happy Birthday" and then blew a
candle out at the end. Then, the boys both needed to sing and blow out
the candle. I think Danny did more laughing than anything else; it is
funny when he gets tickled about something.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
