I woke the kids up and told them they could help me wake up the
birthday boy. As soon as they woke Daddy up, they wanted to give him
their cards. The only problem was that Danny could not find his. He went into panic mode. I got another piece of paper out so that he could quickly make another one.

Joe is 35 today. I can't make any jokes about him being "old" because I am older than he is. : )

We ate breakfast. Then, Joe took the kids to school. Joe had been
asked to preach in chapel today. Chapel is at 8:00. He got back home
a little after 9:00.

I worked on making a cheesecake while Joe was gone. Joe is not too big on cake. I usually make a buttermilk pie for his birthday, but I
thought he would like a cheesecake for a change. I tried a no-bake recipe that I found online.

We headed into town around 10:30. We did a little shopping. I had to find some presents for the birthday boy. The kids wanted to help me wrap the presents after school.

We went to Han Palace, the good Chinese restaurant, for lunch. We made a couple more stops after lunch. Then, we headed to the school to get the kids.

All three kids were grouchy. So, they had to go to bed. They were not too happy about that. I think Bonnie was the only one who actually went to sleep, but the boys rested a little.

I worked on the birthday supper while the kids rested. Then, we wrapped the presents. After supper, Joe opened his presents. Then, we headed to church.

We had a good service tonight with ten in attendance. Ghana lost in their semi-finals game against Zambia today. The people were disappointed about that.

After church, Joe and I had some cheesecake. The kids had theirs after supper.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
