W'apow mu e,

Joe left the house about 5:00 this morning to head to the radio station.  He preached at 6:30 for twenty minutes.  They told him that they enjoyed his sermon and they liked that he was very prompt and finished on time.  He is supposed to go back this week to set up some times to go weekly to preach on the radio.  What an opportunity!

After that, Joe was going to come home before he went to the church for visitation.  But, there was a marathon in town this morning.  He got stuck behind them.  So, he went to a restaurant and had some coffee.  When the road cleared, he went on to the church for visitation.

The kids helped me make breakfast.  We had Dutch pancakes.  We often have weevils in our flour, but this is the first time I have found moth larva in the flour.  There are little worms that are spinning a cocoon inside of our flour container.  Lovely!  So, we sifted all of the flour; the kids thought that was great fun.  Gilbert likes to pour the batter into the pan.  After breakfast, the kids played outside for a while.  Then, they came inside to play with the train tracks.  I practiced on the keyboard for a little while.  The kids all did their homework.  Then, they went back outside to play with the hose.

Joe came home for lunch.  Then, he headed back to the church to meet with those who are supposed to get baptized next Sunday.  After that, he came home to get us for the children's Christmas program practice.  As he was coming up our road, I met him on the road.  Some children had come up into our yard and were playing with the kids' toys.  I went outside and told them that they needed to leave.  As soon as I turned around to head back to the house, they were back again.  Danny and I put all of the toys away and locked them up.  The kids had come back again.  So, I started down the road to make sure that they left.  They had taken some of our pineapples that weren't ready to be picked yet.  There was a trail of discarded pineapples on the road.  Joe followed them in the car to make sure that they left.  Then, he came up to the house to get us to go to the church for practice.  About fifteen kids came tonight.  We are working on a couple of poems, two songs, and some verses.

When we got home, I started making tacos for supper.  I was making the tortillas from memory and put the wrong amount of baking powder in.  When I cooked them, they were all falling apart.  So, I decided to improvise and make chips instead.  I fried the tortilla pieces in some oil.  The kids loved it.  Bonnie doesn't always eat her tortilla, but she gobbled up the "chips."

Nantsew yie!
