Bonjour,
This morning, we did some things around the house. We went into Anyama for a few minutes to drop off some money to the carpenter who will be putting Lenell’s ceiling in. When we got back, the boys stayed to play with “Aunt Nell” until lunch time.
After lunch, the boys and I took a nap. Joe headed into Abidjan to withdraw funds. Because of problems with our ATM cards, he wasn’t able to get any money out. I spent most of the afternoon on the phone with the bank. We think we got it squared away now; we’ll try it again tomorrow.
After the boys woke up, they swam for a little while. Joe got some floating toys while he was in town. Gilbert thought his “boat” was great. Danny prefers to have Daddy hold him. He will jump off the ladder into Joe’s arms, but he just wasn’t quite sure about the tubes.
The boys and I took some Sunday school materials over to Lenell. She is going to start teaching the lesson in my class so that she will be used to doing that when I can’t be there around the time of the baby’s arrival. We went for a short walk. Then, the boys stayed to play for a little bit.
Joe’s mom will be coming for a visit three weeks from tomorrow. We were talking about that at supper tonight. Joe told Gilbert that Nana was coming to see him. Gilbert told me, “Mom, Daddy won’t share Nana with me.” I told him that Daddy would share Nana; and if he didn’t, Nana would give him a spanking. Gilbert liked that. We had to call Nana to tell her about it.
Danny was searching for a drink tonight. I had put tea in his cup for supper. Apparently, he did not approve of the tea. After supper, he climbed up to the table to see what we had in our cups. He got down rather discouraged and said, “No tea. Milk!” I got him some milk. The whole time I was getting it ready, he was saying, “Milk, milk, milk.” When I handed him the cup, he smiled really big and said, “Thank you!”
