Bonjour,

One phase of the power has been off since yesterday. The power was off
and on all morning, but the one phase never did come back on. That
phase controls the water pumps. We have turned the generator on a
couple times to pump water. That phase also controls the guest room
downstairs. Two national pastors from Ivory Coast arrived this evening
and are staying with us for a few days. They said that no power wasn't
anything new for them.

We just did pages for school today since the power was off and on. The
boys didn't mind that. We got some extra reading time in. We have
gotten a little behind in reading.

Joe went into town this morning and was back home for lunch. At lunch
time, Pastor Ake called to let us know that he and Pastor Romeo had made
it to the border and were headed this way. I called Kristine and Becky
to invite them for supper so that they could hear the news from Ivory
Coast and get in on French conversation.

A lot of rumors are flying around about what is happening in Ivory
Coast. Gbagbo has not surrendered, contrary to what some people are
reporting. The UN and France did bomb some military strongholds in
Ivory Coast last night, but six of their helicopters were shot down.
Please continue to pray for the Ivorians.

I made pizza for supper. We had a good time of fellowship.

The kids have said some funny things today. This morning, Bonnie and I
were coloring. She told the boys that she was coloring Chicken Little
driving a car. They both had to stop their school work to come see the
chicken. It wasn't a chicken at all; it was a bird in a nest. A few
minutes after that, Gilbert was comparing my leg to his leg. He said,
"Mom, you have more pipes than I do." "Pipes" are better known as
veins. This evening, Bonnie said, "Mom, God makes you laugh. You
should be thankfuled for that."

The kids are excited about sleeping in their sleeping bags tonight. The
boys gave their mattresses to the pastors who are staying with us.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
