Bonjour,
The first election results were announced last night. None of the candidates got more than 50% of the votes. So, they will hold another election in December. Things seem to be calm and back to business as usual today.
The children are experiencing jetlag. They were up until 2:00 this morning; that was bed time for them. They didn't take much of a nap today. Maybe they will sleep better tonight and start getting back on schedule.
The kids did some of their school work with the Post boys today. When I mentioned the word "school," Danny said, "I don't want to go back to school." I told him that he could just do a paper with Justin today, but that we would be starting school again next week. He was not too thrilled about that. Gilbert is in K-5, and Danny is in K-4. We started school in August but stopped in mid-October to get everything packed and ready for Africa.
Bonnie had her crayons and coloring book. She likes to pretend that she is in school too.
I worked on unpacking and getting things put away off and on today. I am starting to get over the bronchitis. It was very hot and humid today. It will take awhile to get used to that again.
Joe and Dan went into Abidjan this morning. Joe paid the mechanic for the work that he had done on our vehicle. The mechanic was taking the vehicle to get it inspected this afternoon. We haven't heard yet if it passed the inspection. Hopefully we will be able to get our vehicle tomorrow.
This afternoon, Joe and Dan helped another missionary move from one house to another.
After supper, everyone watched a movie together. Bonnie was tired and fussy. I took her back over to "our house." We did not want to put her to bed too soon. She played and stayed up until her brothers came back.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
