W'apow mu e,
Joe took the kids to school. Then, he headed in to town to find the supplies needed for upcoming work days at the church. The church building has not been painted on the outside. The first step is to whitewash the cement. Whitewashing the outside of the building will be the project for this coming Saturday. He was in town right up until it was time to go get the kids from school.
I worked on financial reports all morning. I got a couple loads of laundry done too.
After the kids got home from school, they played soccer with Martin and LF. Gilbert had all of his cowboy stuff on when he went outside to play. He was playing soccer with his vest, chaps, etc. on. He got quite warm. He came inside with rosy cheeks.
On "load shedding" nights, I try to get everything done in the kitchen before the power goes off at 6:30. I cannot use any of the kitchen appliances with the generator. I did not think I was going to get everything done. So, I enlisted Joe's help. I was making tacos. He grated some cheese in the food processor. Then, he cooked the tortillas for me.
Just as we finished eating, the power went off. Joe fired up the generator. Then, he took Martin home.
Gilbert and Bonnie had homework tonight. Bonnie wanted me to look at her paper after each letter that she wrote. I was trying to help Gilbert memorize a poem.
All three kids fell asleep in a chair before bed time. We carried them all to bed.
Nantsew yie!
