Bonjour,

This morning after breakfast, we headed to Bingerville. We stopped at the Machs’ house to drop off our food and the boys. Then, we went on to their church.

The Machs’ current pastor, Brother Folger, spoke first, followed by Brother Thompson, the pastor that founded their church. We sang hymns in English. It was refreshing to hear a whole service in English. Services in French are fine too, but there’s just something different about hearing things in your own language.

Several people came with Brother Folger. Bob introduced all of them and then introduced all of the missionaries to the people that had come. Two men and two teenage boys came from the church in Ohio. A lady from a church in New York came along with them. Brother Folger’s wife had planned to make the trip as well, but she was turned away at the airport because her passport was going to expire in less than six months.

Then, we went back to the Machs’ house for lunch. We had plenty of food. Everyone enjoyed the fellowship.

After lunch, the guys went to the soccer stadium to play football for awhile. The ladies and small children walked over to Tammy’s apartment. She lives in a second-story apartment and gets a nice breeze in the afternoons. She also has a beautiful view from her balcony.

We got back home around 17:00. I must have gotten too hot and didn’t drink enough water because I had a bad headache and was vomiting after we got home. I went on to bed, and Joe took care of the boys. We didn’t get an e-mail sent last night; so, you will get it a day late.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, and Danny
