Bonjour!
Our computer has been down for over a week. That is why you haven’t received anything from us for awhile. We are glad to have the computer back up and running. The technician says that it is really fixed this time; so, we will see.
We were able to get the generator all hooked up last week. It has been such a blessing to have that on the power-off nights.
Last Thursday night, Bob Mach and Mike Taylor stayed with us. They had been packing all of the Taylors’ stuff in their container. (Brother Taylor will be starting a church in Katy, Texas.) They finished that day, and their power was going to be off that night. So, we had them over for supper; then, they spent the night.
There have been visitors at church the last two Wednesday nights in a row. Last week, a lady named Dorcas came for the first time. She came again last night. Joe got to lead her to Christ after the service last night.
Joe has been busy this week. He had a meeting concerning the land for the church. The next step is to have a survey done and draw up a proposal of what will be done with the land. Then, that proposal needs to be presented to several different commissioners to obtain the zoning rights to build a church there. Please continue to pray about the land; it is in an ideal location for a church.
Yesterday afternoon, the Wideners brought their kids to our house while they ran some errands. Just before they got to our house, a screw driver punctured one of their tires. Brother Widener had white pants on. So, Joe changed the tire for him. Gilbert was so excited to see Jonathan.

This morning, we all rode into town. We checked the PO box. Then, the boys and I went into Max Mart while Joe went across the street check on the computer. It wasn’t ready yet, but Gilbert enjoyed riding the motorcycle while we waited for Daddy.
When we got home, I made cookies for the Christmas party for Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
This afternoon, Joe met with Brother Davis concerning the institute classes for next semester. Joe and I will both be teaching two classes. I will be teaching Grammar and Literature. Joe will be teaching Old Testament Survey and Hermeneutics.
Three of the institute students are graduating on January 6. There will be a two-day meeting for the wives of the graduates on December 27-28. There will be classes in the mornings and afternoons. They will be eating lunch and supper here since our house is just a few houses down from the institute. I will be teaching one of the classes.
Tomorrow is our sixth wedding anniversary. The Wideners have offered to keep the boys tomorrow night. The Wideners have moved to Cape Coast now. So, we will stay at a motel in Cape Coast.
Gilbert and Danny are both doing well. Gilbert’s vocabulary continues to grow little by little. Danny is quite the little eater.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, and Danny
